DIRECTORATE FOR PURCHASES
It is responsible for the completion of tender procedures for the acquisition of goods and services and the management of contracts. It defines the standard requirements in terms of supplies and services and purchases planning as well as the purchasing strategies and identifies tender procedures in accordance with the principles of economy and efficiency of administrative activity.
DIRECTORATE FOR PROSTHETIC ASSISTANCE AND REHABILITATION
It is responsible for production and direct delivery of prosthetic assistance and rehabilitation benefits, as well as for the management and development of research and experimentation in clinical and technology fields.
DIRECTORATE FOR DIGITAL ORGANIZATION
It is responsible for Inail's IT and telecommunication system, for telematic services and for the evolution of technological tools for the re-engineering of production processes.
DIRECTORATE OF ASSETS
It is responsible for Inail’s property policies, through the preparation of three-year real-estate and securities investment and disinvestment Plans and three-year Public Works Plans. In order to carry out planned activities it relies on the Technical Advisory for Construction.
DIRECTORATE FOR PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION
It oversees the definition and implementation of Inail’s plans, coordinating and managing strategic activities and providing solutions for critical issues. It organizes and manages all information required for the planning and monitoring of strategic actions. It has a legislative coordinating role for constantly updating the evolution of national and European legislation, in collaboration with the competent departments for legislative and regulatory proposals. It is responsible for internal and external communication, the definition of a “communication style”: administrative and technical information, data and statistics, training materials, results of research activities. It realizes, prints and distributes Inail’s publications thanks to Inail’s printer in Milan.
DIRECTORATE FOR HEALTH BENEFITS
It is responsible for administrative tasks concerning health, prosthetic and rehabilitation benefits as well as for reintegration activities carried out by Inail. It also manages relationships with the insured and their representative organizations, with the National Health Service and the coordination of relationships with Regional Health Services and other national and international, public and private, institutions.
DIRECTORATE FOR PREVENTION
It is responsible for the implementation of the tasks assigned to the Institute in the field of health and safety at workplace: training, information, advice and assistance. It is the Italian Focal Point of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. It carries out activities related to training in health and safety at workplace; maintains close collaborations and connections with other national public educational institutions.
DIRECTORATE FOR PLANNING, BUDGET AND CONTROL
It is responsible for planning, programming, control, accounting and budget of Inail. It draws up the technical documents for the budget and prepares the final accounts. It monitors the administrative and accounting compliance, cash status and cash flows; obligations in the field of taxation and social security for personnel.
DIRECTORATE FOR INSURANCE RELATIONSHIP
It is responsible for relationships with companies, premiums’ revenues and insurance tariff, risk monitoring, insurance supervisory activity and debt collection. It is also responsible in terms of relationships with the insured and protected people, delivery of economic benefits, relationships with unions, consumers’ associations, national and international institutions.
DIRECTORATE FOR RESEARCH
It is responsible for the coordination and administration of the activities of the Departments of Research. It prepares partnership agreements, agreements for access to national and international funds and monitors their implementation. It has administrative responsibility for the implementation of the Plan of research activities and the Plan for technological innovation as well as the support for institutional tasks of certification and inspection.
DIRECTORATE OF HUMAN RESOURCES
It is responsible for developing the general criteria of personnel policy. It has a guiding and coordinating role in personnel recruitment, tasks, mobility, evaluation system, management of legal status, salary and employ severance indemnity, pension benefits. It handles relations with the trade unions. It analyses the training needs and realizes training activities.
OFFICE FOR INSPECTION AND SAFETY
It carries out inspections to detect and assess particular situations, mostly related to the behavior of individuals. It checks correctness of procedures and compliance with the rules, including the rules on safety protection and the confidentiality of information and personal data.
SERVICE FOR GOVERNING BODIES
It is responsible for the organization and management of regulatory and technical support for Inail’s activities. It works alongside the structures charged with the preparation of legislative and regulatory proposals. It manages parliamentary questions and relationships with ministries and parliamentary committees.
LAWYERS DEPARTMENT
It is responsible for Inail’s legal affairs. It provides legal assistance to the governing bodies and guides and monitors the legal activities of the local offices. It analyzes its personnel’s training needs for refreshing knowledge.
CONSULTANCY DEPARTMENT FOR TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
It is in charge of activities associated with the Directorate for Digital Organization and it is involved in projects concerning computer science/technology.
STATISTICAL CONSULTANCY DEPARTMENT
It is responsible for the technical function of the study, analysis and processing of data for statistical purposes.
It carries out research, collection and analysis of socio-economic variables that most significantly interact with the phenomena which are part of Inail’s institutional activities.
TECHNICAL CONSULTANCY DEPARTMENT FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY
It has the technical responsibility of detecting elements useful for risk assessment for the application of the rules concerning accidents insurance. It is also responsible for the technical functions necessary to carry out the tasks assigned to Inail in the field of prevention and safety at workplace: arrangements, funding, control of compliance with the rules.
TECHNICAL CONSULTANCY DEPARTMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION
It is in charge of the technical activities associated with the Directorate of Assets concerning the managing of Inail’s real estate, the preparation of annual and multi-year real-estate investment Plans and three-year Public Works Plans.
DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE, EPIDEMIOLOGY, WORKPLACE AND ENVIRONMENTAL HYGIENE
It carries out and promotes study, scientific research and experimentation activities, according to the principles of occupational medicine, occupational epidemiology and workplace and environmental hygiene. It collaborates with the World Health Organization and the Central Directorate for Prevention to coordinate the activities of the Focal Point for Italy of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work.
DEPARTMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AND SAFETY OF PLANTS, PRODUCTS AND ANTHROPIC SETTLEMENTS
In relation to the technological evolution of the safety work systems, it promotes and carries out study, research and experimentation activities aimed at the development and validation of best practices, methods, risk management and assessment procedures in the field of safety of workers’ living and working environments.
CENTRAL MEDICAL DEPARTMENT
It is responsible for the overall administration of Inail’s health activities. It ensures compliance with quality standards of health services and the homogeneous implementation of activities. It is in charge of refresher courses for Inail’s personnel in health field.
CENTRAL OFFICE FOR ACCIDENTS AT WORK
It is responsible for collecting and classifying information on accidents at work and outside work with permanent disability. It manages the database and relationships with external insurance associations.
