Il lavoro si propone lo scopo di approfondire alcuni aspetti quali-quantitativi del fenomeno dell’infortunio in itinere mediante un’analisi statistica inferenziale. Nello specifico, gli Autori hanno preliminarmente effettuato un’analisi descrittiva raffrontando l’infortunio sul lavoro classico e l’infortunio in itinere relativamente alla natura, alla sede delle lesioni ed al grado medio delle medesime e, sulla base dei risultati emersi, hanno proceduto ad analizzare essenzialmente due aspetti, ovvero se esistono delle connessioni relativamente ai distretti corporei maggiormente interessati nell’evento e gli infrotuni stessi e, in secondo luogo, se il grado medio delle lesioni, risultato continuativamente di maggior entità negli infortuni in itinere, è un fenomeno strutturale o dovuto al caso.

The project is aimed at analyzing some qualitative as well as quantitative aspects of those on-the-job injuries that occur on the route towards and from the work place, both in terms of type and recurrence of injuries, through a deductive statistical analysis. More specifically, the authors started from a descriptive analysis of the two main types of injuries: the typical on-the-job injury and the one occurred on route to/from the work place. They looked at the nature/type of injuries, the body parts involved in the injuries and the average level of seriousness of the medical consequences for the injured workers. On the basis of the outcome of such initial analysis, the authors eventually conducted and investigation of basically two possibile correlations. Firstly, they investigated if the specific body parts that are more recurrently involved during injuries are in some way correlated with the actual types of injuries; secondly, they investigated if the average level of seriousness - thtat resulted to be consistently higher in injuries occurred on route - is a structural phenomenon or simply a matter of change.
