Gli Autori esaminano le lesioni ad etiologia professionale interessanti l’apparato stomatognatico, classificandole in base alla natura delle noxae e alla modalità di esposizione. Un’attenzione particolare viene data agli eventi infortunistici che possono interessare il cavo orale e alla patologia indotta dai metalli. Per la loro importanza storica vengono menzionate anche condizioni oggi non più verificabili grazie alla realizzazione di opportune misure di prevenzione primaria e secondaria che, contenendo l’esposizione ai vari rischi, hanno notevolmente ridotto la prevalenza e l’incidenza delle varie affezioni.

Authors examine the occupational oral deseases, classifying them on the basis of kinds of noxae and of the modality of exposition. A particular attention is given to accident events interesting oral cable and to metal induced lesions. For their historical importance it is made mention of some conditions now extremely rare, thanks to the realization of opportune measures of primary and secondary prevention that , conteining the exposure to the risks, has notably reduced the prevalence and the incidence of the various affections.
