Riassunto
In quest’articolo attraverso l’analisi della letteratura scientifica internazionale viene evidenziato come la prevenzione nei luoghi di lavoro possa condurre a dei considerevoli benefici economici. Questi derivano principalmente da un generale incremento della produttività e delle prestazioni dei lavoratori legati al miglioramento di aspetti gestionali e organizzativi.
La prevenzione è un fatto culturale. Per la sua divulgazione è fondamentale il coinvolgimento del management e di coloro che nelle aziende compiono le scelte riguardanti le risorse e agli investimenti. Per l’efficace attuazione della prevenzione della sicurezza essa dovrà essere integrata con la politica e con gli obiettivi strategici di un’azienda.
È indispensabile che oltre alla spinta dettata dal rispetto della normativa ci sia la consapevolezza dei numerosi benefici che ne possono derivare. Gli aspetti economici legati al ritorno degli investimenti in salute e sicurezza possono essere misurati con la raccolta e analisi dei dati qualitativi e quantitativi.
Infine non bisogna dimenticare i costi diretti e indiretti degli infortuni che si riflettono in maniera considerevole sull’azienda, sull’individuo e sull’intero Paese.

In this article, through the analysis of the international scientific literature is highlighted as prevention in the workplace can lead to the considerable economic benefits. These are primarily derived from a general increase in productivity and performance of workers related to the improvement of management and organizational aspects.
Prevention is a question of culture. For its disclosure is crucial the involvement of the management and those who in companies make choices about resources and investments. For the effectiveness implementation of prevention and safety at workplaces it is fundamental that they are must be integrated with the EU and with the strategic objectives of a company.
It is essential that in addition to the thrust dictated by respect for the law there is an awareness of the many benefits that may ensue.
Economic issues related to the return on investments in health and safety can be measured with the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Finally it is important to be considered that the direct and indirect costs of accidents are relevant and they reflect significantly on the company, on the individual and on the whole country.
